Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network

The Artists Network was initiated by Lawrenceville Main Street as part of its strategy of encouraging and supporting the vitality of the community.

History has shown us that art is not a luxury. The arts allow us to find ways of expressing our shared experiences, of discovering new perspectives and give the participants in the artistic process a more vivid and complete manner to express what cannot be captured in words. Art has often led or paralleled rejuvenation of cultures and economies. It can be a mirror of our society as well as a focusing lens.

The Conservatory (NJ)

The Conservatory (NJ)

Best known for our great facility (studio space, concert hall, outdoor pavilion and available parking), great location (within walking distance of the newly renovated Trenton Train Station, River Line), and great investment (the cost is phenomenal), The Conservatory (NJ) is a place  for artists near and far to instruct, perform and/or display their handiwork. A variety of classes, workshops, activities and events are offered regularly for patrons of all ages to celebrate and enjoy Trenton's rich culturally diverse community.

Metal SculptureStudents involved in this activity will learn the associated knowledge of metals, materials science, and metal sculpture through class discussion, presentation, instruction, planning and executing of their own piece of sculpture.  The project will be completed using predominately reclaimed, found, and recycled materials - stressing the value in reusing and re-purposing commonly found objects for the purposes of creating something new.
